Downloading the System Software—Ethernet

1 Switch to an MS-DOS prompt.

2 Change to the directory that contains the SYSTEM.PS file.

3 Type ftp

xxx

↵ (where

xxx

is the IP address of your

printer).

4 For the user name press Enter.

5 For the password press Enter.

6 At the FTP prompt type bin↵ to change to binary mode.

7 Type put system.ps↵.

8 When the software has finished downloading and the FTP

prompt returns, type quit↵ to return to the DOS prompt.
